Through the Years was designed by a mother of two in need of a solution. Alice Dawson had special mementos and school keepsakes she wanted to keep for her children, but could not find an album or scrapbook on the market that would fit her needs. She wanted an album practical, efficient and photo safe.

After months of trial and error she designed a rough draft of how the album should look and function. Her husband Scott encouraged her to have it professionally manufactured and share her idea with other parents because they too probably had the same need. Scott was right because 30 years later Alice has sold thousands from coast to coast.

When the concept of Through the Years was finally brought to full fruition, she found that going to trade and craft shows was a great way to demonstrate to parents how easy and affordable it is to preserve their children’s accomplishments and special keepsakes.

Not until her two children graduated from high school did she realize just how much Through the Years is the most loving tribute a parent

can give a child.

Now Alice and Scott have four grandchildren and have enjoyed watching the second generation of Through the Years albums start to grow. Alice knows that Through the Years will continue to provide a solution to parents in need for generations to come.
